Lasso, Walz, and Carpenter β½ππ€
Why I love the positive messages of Ted Lasso, the inspiring leadership of Tim Walz, and the voices of White Dudes for Harris.
Hello, travelers, optimists, and community builders!
What do I have in common with Ted Lasso and Tim Walz?
Ted, Tim, and I are dads who prioritize our families. We believe in building communities through coaching, teaching, serving, volunteering, and cheering on our favorite sports teams.
We share a commitment to optimism, family, and community building. We strive to maintain a positive outlook, uplift others, and build trust.
We believe anything is possible. Weβre optimists, middle-aged white dudes who vote for democracy.
Inspired and Motivated by Ted Lasso πΊ β½π
This summer, I binged the Ted Lasso series. It was even better the second time!
Ted Lassoβs nonstop optimism and belief in the power of kindness and teamwork are values I strive for in my own life. His ability to bring out the best in people and create a positive environment is something I admire.
And, heβs left handed!
Watching Ted Lasso reminds me of my own experiences as a dad, sports lover, and change maker. Be curious, not judgmental. Barbeque sauce!
Lasso believes in Woodenβs Pyramid of Success.
Believe
Not just a word on a wall; it comes from within.
Helps us overcome envy, fear, and shame.
Is about embracing hope, love, and self-worth.
In oneself and each other is crucial for team success.
Is never giving up, even in the face of challenges.
Creates a positive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
Inspires and motivates both individuals and the team to achieve their best.
Discovering Coach π π οΈπΊπΈ
Recently, like many Americans, I discovered Tim Walz. An unknown with a story that seemed almost too good to be true.
Tim is the kind of person youβd want as your neighbor. Born in rural Nebraska, he grew up with a strong sense of duty, serving in the Army National Guard for 24 years.
He is a family man, a loving husband, and a dedicated father to their two children. Heβs the type of dad who helps with homework, attends school events, and spends quality time with his family. Timβs family includes Scout, a black Lab, and a cat too.
Tim was a high school teacher and football coach in Minnesota, known for his ability to connect with students and inspire them to reach their full potential, including leading his team to a state championship.
Tim is a union guy.
Tim Walz is truly a good guy who is always there to lend a helping hand, whether itβs repairing your car, walking your dog, or looking after your house. Heβs as comfortable at a summer fair or football game as he is serving as the Governor of Minnesota.

White Dudes for Harris/Walz πͺ π π§’
Also this summer, I joined the White Dudes for Harris Zoom that brought together 190,000 participants and raised over $4 million with dozens of white men speaking about the necessity to support a woman of color for President and retake the hi-jacked narrative of what it means to be a decent white dude in America.
Some of the speakers included: Jeff Bridges, Mark Hamill, Sean Astin, Tim Walz, and many, many more.
I am committed to bringing my white male priveledge, power, and platform to bring a message of support for everything that is good and reject the desperate lies and hate.
I want to show that white men can be strong allies, advocates, and champions for equality and justice.
At the heart of this commitment is a dedication to supporting all the people in our lives. Whether it is our families, friends, colleagues, or neighbors, we must strive to create a world where everyone feels valued and respected. This means actively listening, learning, and taking action to address the challenges faced by different races, genders, and experiences.
Please join me to raise your voice, be optimistic, and vote!

OMG WHY DOES TIM LOOK SO MUCH LIKE YOUUUU???!!! :D:D:D:D
